Designer and shoemaker Louise Hvidegaard believes in a less-is-more philosophy when it comes to her designs, and in life, and believes people are entering a consumer phase which will see us turning back to basics, looking for good quality and handmade or local goods.

Based on gut-instinct, her style is a subtle blend of elegance and comfort and she strives to create a natural and classic look in her work. Eyes forever forward and always ultra-modern, the results reveal a look of effortlessness while remaining chic and timeless.

Currently freelancing and working on her own designs under the guise Luis Lane, she has developed shoes for Vilsbøl de Arce and interning at Esquivel Shoes in Los Angeles and Eelko Moorer in London, where she´s currently based.

Next on the agenda is finishing  a Master degree in Advanced Fashion Footwear Design at the esteemed Polimoda in Florence, Italy. Available for work from November 2011.
